I joined Glen Fuels on a full-time basis in 1991 with responsibility for the strategic development of the Company. Glen Fuels is a Top 10 distributor in the Republic of Ireland and one of Ireland's Top 1000 companies . 

Glen Fuels takes an innovative approach and we have a reputation for launching products and services that are now standard on the Irish market - we are the first and only company with traditional fuel and renewable energy under the one roof.  

My main hobby is sport; in particular, rugby, GAA, athletics and golf. A Jack of all trades and a master of none, I keep plugging away at cheering on Greystones RFC, Wicklow GAA, Wexford GAA and keeping three putts off my card.

I look after all aspects of our fleet and staff management as well as all logistical issues pertaining to the business.

In 2015 Alan and I expanded our original service of oil for everything with the promise of Energy for Everything. We rolled out Glenergy to supply renewable and efficient energy hardware and solutions to all our customers. The marriage of a number of key energy experts with over thirty years' experience, positions Glen Fuels and Glenergy to supply a fully comprehensive suite of products to home and business owners throughout Ireland. 

My main hobby is GAA and Gaelic football has always been my favourite sport and past-time. I am an active member of Éire Óg in Greystones and St Anne's in Dublin as a player, coach and dedicated supporter at all levels.

Nicholas Nolan

Financial Controller

Since 2000 I have been responsibile for the Company’s overall financial cash flow management, bringing extensive commercial and agricultural experience to the role. Throughout the recent economic downturn we addressed all aspects of the business without compromising on the quality of the goods for sale or the services delivered. Our approach allowed us to retain all of our full-time staff, debut on the Irish Times Top 1000 and reach the final stages of the Deloitte Best Managed Company Awards.

I am actively involved in my community and I dedicate much of my spare time to An Tochar GAA. Over the course of 30 years I played Club and County football, winning championships at many grades. More recently I took on the role of Club Chairman.

Shay Cullen

Wicklow Sales Manager

For more than 20 years I have been a driving force behind the distribution of our agricultural, commercial and domestic products throughout Co. Wicklow and our customers can now benefit from the Glen Fuels suite of cost-saving renewable energy technologies.

As a farm owner I have been involved in the IFA (Roundwood Branch) and as a pedigree breeder of Limousin cattle for the past 26 years, I have extensive knowledge of the needs of the farming customer. . 

Born and reared in Wicklow, I have been heavily involved in Wicklow GAA and An Tóchar GAA Club from a young age. I played Gaelic football at Club and County level and after my retirement, I spent many years coaching kids aged eight to 14. I remain an active and involved Club member and a great supporter of the Garden County Academy, of which Glen Fuels is a valued sponsor.

I have been working out of the Kilmacanogue depot since joining the Glen Fuels family in 2004. 

I focus on delivering home heating oil to our domestic customers and fuels to our North Wicklow agricultural customers. From the Kilmacanogue depot, my usual delivery route takes in Kilmacanogue, Enniskerry, Bray, Greystones, Delgany and Kilcoole. 

When I'm not delivering oil and meeting customers at all hours of the day, my presence is a firm fixture on the sidelines cheering on my beloved Éire Óg Greystones and Co. Wicklow GAA teams.

Peter Duffy

Deliveries and Sales Representative

For more than 20 years I have been making deliveries and sales to the farming, shipping, industrial and domestic sectors from my base at the Kilmacanogue depot. My daily route takes me across all the hills in Wicklow; including, Ashford, Wicklow, Rathnew, Rathdrum, Lara and Roundwood. Glen Fuels is a leading distributor of fuel to the marine sector and I fuel vessels of all sizes at Wicklow Port. 

A Wicklow man born and bred, I remain a dedicated supporter of Wicklow RFC for which I have been player, coach and committee member for over 30 years. As a skilled hunter and an expert on the local countryside, I help the Wicklow farming community manage wildlife populations.

Ken Merriman

Deliveries and Sales Representative

I have been a driver with Glen Fuels since 1990 and I have always worked from the Kilmacanogue depot. Over the years my delivery route has expanded to include Enniskerry, Glencree and Tallaght coming down into Dundrum, Blackrock, Dalkey, Shankill and Bray. I do a huge number of home heating oil deliveries and I also deliver to the marine sector in Howth Harbour. 

A mechanic by trade, I work closely with senior management to ensure that all the lorries in the Kilmacanogue depot are in peak condition at all times. 

In my spare time, I am health and conditioning coach of the U11s at St. Joseph's Boys A.F.C in Sallynoggin which turns out players of distinction that have competed in the Football League.

Enda Nolan

Plumber and Head Servicing Technician

A plumber with extensive expertise in the renewable energy sector, I joined the Glen Fuels and Glenergy Servicing division in 2016. I service and install gas and oil boilers, solar panels, heat pumps and CHP units in homes, farms and businesses all over Ireland. 

My plumbing apprenticeship started in 1997 and I qualified in 2001. I hold a National Craft Certificate in plumbing and I engage in continuing professional development (CPD) in Ireland and Germany, including: Registered Gas Installer to service and install gas boilers; OFTEC certification to service and install oil boilers; Safe Pass to work on construction sites; Manual Handling to lift and carry safely; SenerTec Service Training to service and commission Dachs, Europe's biggest selling CHP unit. I have worked for Intel and Guinness on highly skilled pipe-fitting projects that required an ability to read and work off plans.

Originally from Roundwood I played football for An Tóchar GAA Club which remains my passion. Today I am involved with the Club's U7s at a coaching level and in managing the intermediate 1st team. I keep fit with road and trail, marathon and long-distance running. During the lambing season I help out on my brother's farm in Roundwood.
